Our Story
Green Valley Farms is a family-run farm located in the rolling hills of the northwest corner of Sussex County, New Jersey. Duce Tallamy — named the National Outstanding Young Farmer in 2012 — runs the farm alongside his wife Joy and their family. The farmstead has been in production for over 100 years, and since 1996, Duce and Joy have been farming it with care and intention.
Today, all 250 acres are in full production: diversified fruits and vegetables, sweet corn, pumpkins, cut flowers, hay fields, corn fields, timber, and green pastures for our cattle. In the winter months, we offer Custom Christmas decorations and meat baskets. In the spring, our annual rodeo brings thousands of people together right here on the farm.

Farming teaches you quickly that you are not in control of the weather, the markets, or the seasons. Our faith grounds us, guides our decisions, and reminds us that we are stewards of what God has entrusted to us. Every sunrise, every calf born, and every seed sprouted and every harvest is a gift. We don’t take that lightly.

This farm is more than a business, it’s our way of life. It’s where we raise our children and grandchildren, and where they learn responsibility, hard work, and integrity. It’s where meals are shared, lessons are taught, and memories are made. Everything we build here is built with the next generation in mind.

Events & Rodeo
Our Annual Pro Rodeo draws over 3,500 guests every Memorial Day weekend — one of the largest one-day events in Sussex County. We also host a Harvest Festival, Open Barn Dances, movie nights, BBQs, and more! See the schedule >
